1. The brand name of my product is Victoria's Secret.
2. Five things that come to mind about this product: Frilly, comfortable, sexy, soft, and expensive.
3. I would say that the commercials have shaped my existance about this brand--that and ultimately the "white" image of beauty and appeal. We ddidn't start out in a highly sexual society, but our commercials are slowly starting to portray what America is becoming.
4. Surprisingly, there was no link for Victoria's Secret, so I chose an alternate brand called Tommy Hilfiger. Top 10 listing under Brandtags.net: Pretentious, Preppy, Racist, Gay, Ghetto, Fashion, Expensive, Crap, Clothes, and American.
5. I agree with the brandtags.net website. Some of their description words never crossed my mind, while others hit the nail on the head. To be honest, I use to wear Tommy Hilfiger until I found out it was a racist clothing line. I mean, we're all impressionable, so I can see how some of these images and descriptions could rub off on other consumers. But to add to my racism boycott, I wasn't the only one of my friends who stopped wearing it. All of my close friends and family members stopped using their products.

Second Homework Assign.
This is my favorite ad because it gets me interested. It involves me visually, and makes me want to figure out what the ad is advertising. It's a Turkish commercial, and even though I can't understand it, their idea makes me want to find out more about them. What catches me the most about this commercial is, of course, the movement. They engage two of my favorite things--music and dance. Not only do they create, but they use sight to connect.
The ad makes me "think" about using their product, but I'm not sold completely on the idea. It probably would make a difference if I had prior knowledge of their bank. It just seems like an extra "hassle" to try to get involved with Akbank.
This ad is not effective; however, I say this because I am unfamiliar with this bank. I am also young and still learning about finances, but maybe in a couple of years I'll be interested.

Leaf Secrets--A prose poem written by myself
Fall falling leaves shroud the children like winding-sheets of paper-shreddings. Like God given wings, they twist—twirling up and down the children's colorless garments—smudge painting their clothes lion-eye yellow and chestnut-core beige. Outstretch their mitt-like hands to cup, catch, and scoop—to interrupt its leaf-time mélange; but, the children can't unearth the hidden secret of a leaf's spirit. Hidden in its dry-water wrinkles are sunset sonnets, the cries of clouds, the voices of earth, and the tale ending of night.
